Change of Command, our miniatures painting service, prides itself on historically accurate painted miniatures from ALL eras.  We have several thousand reference volumes to assist you in building armies that not only look great on the table, but are accurately organized by unit, time, and place.  Many of our clients collect miniatures as heirlooms for their children and grandchildren.  As such, ALL our miniatures are painted to the highest museum quality, whether for table-top games, dioramas, or display.  We discovered early on that "gaming quality" was just not good enough.  It made it difficult to send our "boys" off without every possible advantage and left us feeling as if they were incomplete!  The lists below demonstrate our commitment to the highest standard - at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE to you!

Fantasy and Sci-Fi Gaming Miniatures

Fantasy and Sci-Fi- miniatures and dioramas bring an entirely different style of creativity and thought to our painting process.  What do the scales of dragon hide really look like?  What about the wart covered flesh of Skaven?  Each piece brings a new challenge and opportunity to flex our creativity and keeps us fresh.  New themes, new schemes, and new color combinations have even won awards for some of our clients and have certainly kept us amused and enthusiastic about future possibilities.  Do you have school colors you want incorporated?  How about the hair color of your wife, girlfriend, or child?  Do you have an occupational emblem you would wish to have painted on your banners?  The possibilities are endless and we'll work with you to create whatever it is that makes your miniatures unique to you.  We want you to have as much fun as we do!

Railroad and Mundane Miniatures

Railroad and mundane miniatures are also included in our repertoire.  Do you enjoy railroading or doll house building?  We often see beautiful railroad scenes or doll houses with miniatures that do not do justice to the rest of the vignette.  With all the effort and love that go into the construction of these landscapes and buildings why not finish them off with figures that equal the beauty of your work?  Do you need a conductor, farmer, or postman?  Whatever the scale or style, we have the skills and resources to help you build your project with a flair that goes the extra step toward a unique and beautiful result. You do not need to be a gamer to enjoy an interest in miniatures.  Give us a try - we are sure you will be pleased with the results!


What We Include in Our Painted Miniatures

ALL our miniatures receive the following:
  • Discuss each order with you on color schemes, style, and organization
  • Clean flashing
  • Prime with gray primer
  • Replace flag-staffs and spears with wire as necessary
  • Hand Paint all banners, flags, and shields
  • Base your units with 1/8th inch bass-wood
  • Flock all bases with Woodland Scenics - blended turf
  • Clear Coat with a Matte Sealer

  • Faces painted with base color, washed, and highlighted
